Jonny Moses Altrogge, Please Renounce the Murder of Charlie Kirk & Speak Out Against It

I try to serve friends on my Facebook page by posting occasional articles about important matters.  I did so this week regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk.  

For example, this article by Al Mohler which appeared in WORLD Opinions.  I’ve included a pertinent quote below regarding Kirk’s conversion to Christianity.

I first met Charlie Kirk several years ago when we were both addressing a major conference of conservatives. … Back then, he saw Christianity as a huge drag on conservative progress. He was pretty clear in calling for a new young conservatism of liberty and resistance. At the time, he didn’t have a lot of use for conservative Christians, and he wasn’t subtle. 

Not long thereafter, Charlie embraced two things that had been missing from his earlier approach. He openly and boldly claimed the gospel of Christ and courageously identified himself as a Christian believer.  He also began to argue with consistency that a recovery of Christian truth was essential for a lasting conservatism.  He was right. 

In response, I was asked a leading question by a radicalized youth whom I know.

Jonny Moses is the adopted son of Mark (and Kristi) Altrogge, whom I hired to be my associate pastor in September 1980 in Indiana, PA.  Later, I turned the church over to Mark. See Saving Grace Church of Indiana PA | Pastors & Staff.

Jonny Moses Altrogge Yes because he believed Jesus is God incarnate, lived a perfect life, died in our place as payment for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, returned to heaven at the Father’s right hand, crowned Lord of all, and will come again to gather his own and judge those who don’t believe this great news called the gospel.  He also believed in the 10 Commandments, Moses, like “Thou Shall Not Murder.”

Jonny Moses Altrogge He has done neither of those.  People like you are the ones who spew hate against people like Charlie as you are doing now.  The real question is why you have renounced the basic tenets of the Faith which you were taught by your parents.  The answer, you have been radicalized by an anti-Christ message of hate and forsaken biblical Christianity.

Jonny Moses Altrogge Please condemn the murder of Charlie Kirk by Tyler Robinson here and now if you have any semblance of decency.  To remain silent is to allow hatred and murder to increase in our society.  You may differ with him on issues in a free society but please renounce the sin of murder and speak out against it!

Jonny Moses refused to condemn the murder.  Individuals like him pose a threat and need to be exposed.  Their minds been taken over by lies.  There is no evidence of Kirk spewing racism and hate.  There is plenty of evidence he did just the opposite.  Nevertheless, the vicious propaganda of the left prevails in the minds of gullible youth (and adults) who have rejected biblical Christianity and moral absolutes. 

I know this dynamic well.  People have trolled me for years.  Some have advocated violence against me.  Others have prayed for my death.  Some have tried to frame me by impersonating lawyers and law enforcement.  Others have spewed the lie that I am “grifter” – that is, I swindle people of money.  That one makes me laugh, though people have believed it and hate me for it.  The simple truth is I have done all my work the last 16 years pro bono (free of charge).  See My Story - Resume. 

In His Olivet Discourse on the end times, Jesus taught the disciples, “Because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold” (Matt. 24:12).  Lawlessness is the over throw of God’s law.  When that happens people’s hearts turn cold and hate increases. 

I am very much in favor of God’s law being the basis of civil law.  That is how our nation was founded.  We should work to that end since the law restrains evil.  That said, our ultimate hope must be in the gospel of Jesus Christ.  It alone has the power to change a man’s heart and reconcile him to God.  

In the later part of his life, thanks be to God, Charlie Kirk became more an evangelist than a political activist.  That is the example we should follow.  Listen to his wife’s tribute.  It is moving and revealing about their faith.  Erika Kirk speaks publicly for first time since husband Charlie Kirk's assassination | Fox News.

I have written this article for the good of my friends and as a matter of public safety.  We must call out genuine hatred and expose those who refuse to condemn the assassination of an innocent man with a wife and children looking on.  

I pray radicalized youth filled with hatred come to know Jesus Christ through “radicalized” youth who testify to the good news and are filled with the love of God.
